While every business expo, tradeshow, or special exhibit has unique aspects, there are many common features and numerous things which you can do to make your exhibit stand out from the crowd. And in preparing for an exhibit, there are things that you can do in advance to help assure success and to make the process a positive experience for your company and for those who staff your exhibit. Jacki Kirk, owner of DPS, offers some tips and advice based on her years of experience in this business: |
| It is important to have "The Right Combination" of flexibility, diversity and visual stimulation for your exhibit. Flexibility comes into play when you start to plan in which tradeshows you want to exhibit and the booth space available. If you have registered late for a tradeshow which you deem very important to your marketing plan, the booth space you normally reserve may not be available. Not a problem - if your display is flexible enough to be broken into "smaller sections" and still maintain the graphic visual impact that your promotion demands. Diversity becomes apparent when you arrive at the show and need to rearrange to accommodate either your neighbor, or the column that mysteriously appeared in your space. Not a problem - if you have set-up options. By using several systems, you have the option of switching graphic messages and images. Combining pop-up displays, paneled displays, towers, banner style displays in creating a visually exciting presentation is the key to flexibility! Having a visually stimulating display will help your exhibit stand out on the convention floor. Remember - you have only four seconds to capture the attention of the attendee! However, don't despair! If you lack flexibility, versatility, and/or visual stimulation for your exhibiting program, Display & Promotional Sales can assist you to find budget-friendly options! Evaluation and consultation is the key to "The Right Combination." |
